Cathy Landolt, Interim Chair

Cathy Landolt leads a digital marketing agency, having gone freelance in 2017.  Prior to that, she worked in marketing and concert production for Yamaha Canada Music and The Royal Conservatory of Music, and spent 9 years leading the events team at the Canadian Marketing Association.  Now, she gets to specialize in working with small businesses, arts groups, and solo-preneurs and gets to do fun things like run ads featuring penguins for the CMC.  Cathy holds a BFA from York University in Music and History and a Performance Certificate from Trinity College of Music in London.  She was a 2x winner of the Amadeus Choir's Christmas Carol Competition in high school, performed in student composer competitions in Japan, and had the BEST time fronting a cover band for several years. A huge choir nerd throughout high school, Cathy is excited to be working with a dedicated group of singers who are determined to be different and to have fun doing it.

Greg Rainville, Conductor and Artistic Director

As a major advocate of the creation of new and unique Canadian music, Greg Rainville has secured a place in the next generation of Canadian conductors. As a dynamic leader, vocal coach and music educator with an extensive traditional and contemporary classical repertoire, he is a sought after guest conductor and leader of master classes and workshops. During his time as Assistant Conductor of the Orpheus Choir of Toronto from 2008 to 2015, he made his Roy Thomson Hall (Toronto) debut in 2011. In the summer of 2016, Greg was privileged to conduct the Canadian Ambassador Choir during their Australia tour as part of the United Nations Choral Festival “Rhythms of One World”. In November 2015, he also directed the NYSSMA Area All-State Music Festival Senior High Chorus in New York. Greg is a graduate of the Crane School of Music and the University of Toronto. He is a two-time recipient of the Elmer Iseler Fellowship in Conducting.

Lynn Featherstone, Executive Director

Lynn Featherstone was raised in Cambridge, Ontario, where she started piano lessons at age six, beginning a life-long pursuit in musicianship – as a choral singer, soloist and conductor. At the University of Toronto she completed both her Bachelor of Music in Music Education in Voice Studies and her Masters in Music Education, and has sung with the University of Toronto MacMillan Singers and the Bach Festival Singers. For over a decade Lynn has been an alto soloist at Fairlawn Avenue United Church. She was formerly Associate Conductor for the Bach Children’s Chorus, under conductor Linda Beaupré. Lynn joined the Elmer Iseler Singers in September 2017, and is also the lower and high school music/choir teacher at Toronto Waldorf School.

Tyler Smith, Director

Tyler Smith hails from Calgary, AB and is the youngest of 3 boys. Growing up, he was always involved in music in some form or other, whether it was playing the piano, cello, tuba or singing by himself or in choirs. Despite having no formal vocal training, singing is something that Tyler has always loved to do. He sings first tenor with the Canadian Men’s Chorus as well as in an a cappella quartet called Spadina Station. Tyler has lived in Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, and Vancouver, but has called Toronto home since 1994. Although his true passion lies within the arts, he currently works for RBC as a Policy Analyst. Tyler is always up for having fun and experiencing new adventures. To date, his most exhilarating experience has been skydiving from 13,000 feet!
